Accounts & setup

Is Tag Markets regulated?

Partly, and the detail matters. We searched the FSC Mauritius public register by name on 14 September 2026 and found T.M. Financials Ltd listed, registered 28 March 2024 as a full service investment dealer excluding underwriting, with no annotations against the entry.

What we could not confirm from the register: the licence number Tag Markets publishes (the entry shows no licence-number field) and any link between that entity and tagmarkets.com (the entry shows no website). And whichever licence applies, it is not an EU authorisation — EU investor-protection and compensation schemes do not apply. See the register capture · Full notice.

What is CopyX, exactly?

CopyX is Tag Markets’ copy-trading system. It connects your Tag Markets account, via MetaTrader 5, to a strategy’s master account so new trades can be mirrored into yours based on the allocation you choose.

What is Sonic?

Sonic is one strategy available through CopyX, trading XAU/USD via a public MetaTrader 5 master account, using AI-assisted analysis with a human final decision on trades.

Performance & terms

If I copy Sonic, will I get the same results shown on Myfxbook?

No. Follower execution and results can differ from the master account, and copying a strategy does not transfer its historical performance to you. Treat any published track record, including Sonic’s, as historical — not a forecast.

What’s the minimum to start with Sonic?

Check both the deposit minimum for your account and the allocation minimum shown on Sonic’s strategy screen. They are different limits and may change; the live platform terms take precedence over an older screenshot.

Does entering the community token make my account safer?

No — it does the opposite on the one measure that closes accounts. The Copy Strategy dialog states that using a token code changes your Amplify drawdown limit to 5% of the starting balance, against 10% without one. So the token doubles trading capacity and halves the loss you are allowed to take. Confusingly, the same dialog also prints a 10% liquidation note; we cannot tell you which governs your account. See the dialog and the arithmetic.

What does the “community token” field do?

The community-token field is part of the 24x setup used by GoldCopyGuide. The guide includes the token and GU/ID, with copy buttons. Open the token instructions. Confirm your account’s eligibility and current terms before completing the setup.

Risk & access

Is my money insured?

Not in the sense most people mean. Tag Markets states insolvency insurance of up to $1,000,000, which partner material attributes to Lloyd’s of London. The provider’s own wording is “for all claimants” — an aggregate pool shared across every customer, not a per-customer guarantee. It is triggered only if the operating entity becomes insolvent, and it does not cover trading losses, drawdown or liquidation, which is what actually costs people money here. It is not deposit protection and not a statutory compensation scheme like the ones EU or UK customers may be used to. Full wording and caveats.

Does the broker make money when I lose?

It depends which model the broker runs, and it is worth understanding before you fund anything. An A-book broker passes your order to the market and earns from the spread or a commission — your loss is not its gain. A B-book broker takes the other side of your trade itself, so what you lose is its revenue. Many brokers run both, routing different clients differently.

Partner material describes Tag Markets as A-book. We have not found that stated in the provider’s own terms, so we publish it as an unconfirmed claim rather than a reassurance. Ask which model applies to your account type, and ask in writing. How we treat claims like this.

Can I lose more than I deposit?

Do not assume your deposit is a guaranteed maximum loss. Confirm the applicable loss limits and any negative-balance protection in your account agreement. Provider risk information.

Which card works for deposits?

Use the payment methods currently offered in your account. Availability, charges and processing times can vary; this guide does not guarantee support for a particular card network.

How do I stop copying or withdraw?

These are separate actions. Amplified-account deposit withdrawals have a waiting period and close the account. Read the stopping and withdrawal guide.
